This is the Face that God Painted

The image that you are NOW looking at,
is the only True Face of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

This is the Original Face that God Painted on Saint Juan
 Diego's cloak, before it was retouched for restoration.

As you know, through a miracle that occurred in 1531,
God painted the image of the Virgin Mary on Juan Diego's
 cloak, to show the world the reality of her apparitions.

Unfortunately, around 1929 the Original Face of Our
Lady of Guadalupe had to be retouched to restore some damage endured through the passage of centuries and great part of the original beauty of The Virgin was hidden under a layer of paint. All of the present reproductions show the retouched image.

Previously known only by investigators, the Original Face that you can now admire, is
 of incomparable beauty. A youthful aspect, delicate features, perfect nose, a girl's mouth, tender eyes, a sweet and paceful expression. Painted "by brushes that were not of this world" Pope Pius XII

The Hierarchy of the Catholic Church recognizes the infinite value of the original
 image of The Virgin that God left us (1). There are many artistic versions of the Blessed Virgin of Guadalupe, but without a doubt the Original Face that God painted, is the most important image of The Virgin and valuable throughout time and everywhere."This image is a true treasure" said the world famous lecturer and Guadalupe researcher, Father Jorge Loring S.I.
